Whirlbush Farm 132 kV Grid Connection Compound
Wellshill C&P undertook the construction of the new 132 kV connection compound. The site is now home to the Whirlbush Farm 49MW Solar Farm which covers over 49 hectares and will supply 15,000 homes.
The project saw construction of the DNO and customer brick built control buildings, transformer bunds, foundations to accommodate associated equipment, ductwork and enabling earthworks.
